We were the first to use a powered parachute on floats in 1991. We later developed retractable floats which allow you to take off from water, retract the floats in flight and land on wheels, or vice versa! These lightweight aluminum floats were designed specifically for the Para-Ski. They are welded and riveted just like the frame, then sealed and painted to match your machine. They can be fitted in a matter of minutes. Water rudders are linked to the air rudder. A 75 hp motor boat can barely keep up with a Para-Ski in "airboat mode" thanks to its reduced drag on water. Water operationsWater take-offs are almost the same as those off land, but the cart floats on the water while the parachute is laid out on a beach. When landing, the pilot taxis the Para-Ski on water with the parachute still overhead to a suitable beach where the cart will stop so that the parachute falls on the beach. |
